The web designer is concerned with the visual and the emotional involvement of business to business Web sites and business to consumer. The web designer solves the communication problems of their customers, enhancing brand identity designed specifically for the web by exploiting its strengths, the opportunities offered by technology. Collaborate with the team and with customers to create sites that are attractive in terms of graphics, have a good visual appearance, are easy to navigate, compatible with the needs of visitors and accessible by the browser and other components. To him falls the task of combining design and navigation through the use of available technologies.

Its functions are divided into different tasks, performed in collaboration with a team.
The web designer is fundamentally a communicator, able to combine the customer's needs with those of users.

He in fact:

* includes technology to use, knowing the possibilities and limitations that may be encountered in the implementation of a site and discusses it with customers and other professionals involved in the project
*translates the requirements, content and the brand of customer concepts suitable facilities to a website, responding to user needs and proposing color proofs, suitable instrument which will be conveyed and executed by the technical point of view

* transforms the design elements created with graphic software (Photoshop and Illustrator for example) in components used and modified on a Web site
* prepares the layout of the pages of the site using the 'HTML and other programming languages (JavaScript and style sheets) with web developers and engineers
* decides the style of web pages in terms of graphics, layout, typography, colors ...
*prepares and presents the content so that they are legible and well-structured following the guidelines established by the content manager
* is responsible for maintaining the site, make the changes necessary graphics and code, updating and editing the site.
